It’s the very first edition of ANIME MOVIE NIGHT (night, night night)! A brand new show idea where we sit down and watch an Anime Movie and talk about our immediate impressions. To kick us off this week we watched the Anime Classic Akira directed by creator Katsuhiro Otomo. It’s Tetsuo vs. Kaneda and we take the time to compare the changes in the manga version as well. Tite Kubo’s new manga/anime project Burn the Witch takes a look at the magical realm in London through the Wing Bind organization or better known as Soul Society Western Branch. The most adapted story in all of media, we have a brand new version of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol this time courtesy of Netflix Animation. Scrooge takes a much closer look at the titular character and the past events that lead him down the road of being not-so-good to his fellow man. This week we have a run-down of all the 24 animated movies coming out in 2023! That’s right there’s another year down in animation already and we’re ready to check out the details of all the upcoming features we have to look forward to! Yeah it’s a crazy show that keeps throwing twists and turns to keep you guessing as to just what the heck the main characters are fighting against. Is it merely destiny? Or something more?

Cyberpunk 2077 has new life in the form of TRIGGER’s Cyberpunk Edgerunners! This Netflix Exclusive has it all, cyborgs, harsh language, sexy women and tons of excessive gore and blood. A true call back to the era where Cyberpunk got it’s most notoriety. It only helps that they got one of the best Anime Studios in the business to help steer the franchise in the right direction. Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island was a triumphant return for the Mystery Inc Gang and the subsequent Witch’s Ghost and Alien Invaders set up some other memorable moments of the Scooby universe. So let’s Toon In and talk about these movies and what they meant for a lot of people’s childhoods on this Halloween week!

Primal is BACK! Season 2 of Genndy Tartokavsky’s current magnum opus has aired and we have Julian Hester from the “What’s in My Head” Podcast this week and we geek out all over again about one of our favorite showrunners and one of the best shows on the air today.
