It’s time for a news break episode of the AD Podcast! I’ll be talking about the trailers and Animation News that hit the past few weeks that I hadn’t gotten to talk about on the main show. I also got to watch Mitchel’s Vs The Machines and Soul this past week and I talk about that a little bit too. Toon in now!
265. Demon Slayer: Mugen Train
Four knuckleheads sit down and talk about the new Demon Slayer Movie Mugen Train! It’s broken all the records in Japan and even made major strides (for an anime movie) in America as well. So how was it? Probably pretty great if the four of us are gathering around to celebrate it! Toon in now for Mugen Train! Umai!
264. Kid Cosmic
We are back to Netflix animation this week with Kid Cosmic! A new instant classic from the mind of animation veteran Craig McCracken. This show is right off the heels of another sci-fi space adventure series from Disney, Wander over Yonder. A lot of that same charm flows over and you can tell. Toon in now!
263. DOTA: Dragon’s Blood
DOTA: Dragon’s Blood is a Studio MIR production based on the DOTA video game series by Valve. Brandon, Mitch and John (The Netflix Originals) are back on the show and are happy to talk about a show that surprised all three of us. From the amazing animation and the great characters the story of DOTA has only just started with these 8 episodes and we cover them in detail.
262. Rick and Morty Season 4
Rick and Morty Season 4 kept us busy last year and it’s finally time we talked about it now that Season 5 has been announced. This season is all about control. Rick not having control of situations seems to be eating away at him and it’s a constant through all the episodes. Or maybe he’s just a jerk and that’s all the show is about? Let’s talk about it!
261. Dragon Ball: Red Ribbon Army
It’s back to our Anime Classics and back to our coverage of Dragon Ball! This week we tackle the mixed bag of The Red Ribbon Army arc. A globe trotting adventure against a global army for the power of the dragon balls has a lot of first for Goku. Let’s toon in and check it out!
260. Violet Evergarden
Kyoto Animation’s Violet Evergarden is a beautiful dive into the emotional trauma of a young war veteran and how she learns to cope with her feelings of loss, displacement and her inability to read other people’s emotions. Focusing on communication and human connections this fantasy light novel series is brought to life with amazing animation and backgrounds.

A new studio dedicated to creating content in the Last Airbender Universe.
256. 2020 Animation Awards
2020 was one CRAZY year but there was plenty of great animation so we’re here to talk about all the best things that came out this past year. This is always one of my favorite episodes to do and this one is no different. Have a good time and try to guess what the best movies, series, anime and all that stuff. Toon in now!
255. Primal Season 1
The legendary Genndy Tartakovsky’s latest Adult Swim show Primal is a visceral, emotional and spectacular ride that leaves you on a note wanting SO much more. I’ve never experienced a series that has expanded a world and had a call to adventure in such a short amount of time. All with very little voice acting at all. A nearly silent completely violent masterpiece.
