Blue Eye Samurai hit Netflix late in 2023 with little fan-fair. But only a few months later it’s one of the hottest and critically acclaimed show on the platform. And rightly so! Much like Arcane before it, Blue Eye Samurai is gorgeous, dark, gritty, gripping nuanced and massively entertaining to watch.

357. Hilda Season 3
Hilda the final season has arrived on Netflix and it’s a fabulous finale. With a run of only 8 episodes this time around we get a lot of answered questions about Hilda’s family, Johanna’s past and what’s to come in casts future in this perfect wrap-up to one of my favorite series on Netflix since it debuted.

Telepurte – Animation Shorts
This YouTube channel is a beast, with over 550 animated shorts with amazingly smooth animation. Just about every video is less than 20 seconds in length but that doesn’t stop each short from being a distinctive blend of creativity and humor. Telepurte make somes punchy visuals that work in a beautiful and funny way.

Constant Payne – What Could Have Been [REPOST]
A friend of mine turned me on to a youtube video that showcases a pilot episode of a series pitched to Nickelodeon in 2001 called Constant Payne. The show was written and created by Micah Wright and is an anime inspired steam-punk adventure series staring a young girl Amanda Payne daughter of a famous scientist/crime fighter Dr. Payne.

356. Scott Pilgrim Takes Off
Scott Pilgrim has come a long way and we finally get an animated adaptation of the famous comic book from the early 2000’s. At least that’s what we thought! What we actually got was a new, in-continuity reboot of the original material with new ways to explore the characters as we take a totally different direction from the source.

Orbital Bacon – Saturday Morning Cartoon Channel
Orbital Bacon is a great Youtube Channel that has been uploading long form VHS rips of animated series from the 80’s and 90’s. Including large volumes of super obscure and little know animations. It’s a great library and even has the commercials intact form the VHS recordings.
