Blue Eye Samurai hit Netflix late in 2023 with little fan-fair. But only a few months later it’s one of the hottest and critically acclaimed show on the platform. And rightly so! Much like Arcane before it, Blue Eye Samurai is gorgeous, dark, gritty, gripping nuanced and massively entertaining to watch.

With a run of only 8 episodes this time around we get a lot of answered questions about Hilda’s family, Johanna’s past and what’s to come in casts future in this perfect wrap-up to one of my favorite series on Netflix since it debuted.

This YouTube channel is a beast, with over 550 animated shorts with amazingly smooth animation. Just about every video is less than 20 seconds in length but that doesn’t stop each short from being a distinctive blend of creativity and humor. Telepurte make somes punchy visuals that work in a beautiful and funny way.

Scott Pilgrim has come a long way and we finally get an animated adaptation of the famous comic book from the early 2000’s. At least that’s what we thought! What we actually got was a new, in-continuity reboot of the original material with new ways to explore the characters as we take a totally different direction from the source.

It’s been a crazy, wild ride with so many turns for the audience it feels like a completely different story by the end, yet we’re still asking all the same questions.
